At Honor , we are dedicated to restoring and strengthening the relationship between people and the land through regenerative farming practices, the cultivation of heritage grains and experiential education.
Job overview Honor is looking for an operational powerhouse to take charge of our fulfillment office, manage inventory, and oversee the details of larger on-farm educational events.
The Operations Manager will play a key role in the smooth running of Honor .
Hours will fluctuate and increase around quarterly CSA fulfillment and events.
On average, 15-20 hours per week with some weeks requiring fewer hours and some weeks more.
Duties and responsibilities to include:
Manage the inventory of grain, flour, shortbread, merchandise, and packaging supplies to ensure adequate inventory levels reflecting the fluctuations in supply and demand throughout the year Customer support via email through ordering and fulfillment processes and general enquiries Oversee event management of on-farm and local events and educational days Attend on-farm and local events (3-4 per year) and manage operations, set up, and take down Manage and recruit volunteers Support Farm to School Community Education and Outreach Manager to ensure smooth deployment of the Mobile Mill Support the president to increase in milling capacity, coordinate the growing, cleaning, milling and delivery of grain grown on multiple farms Maintain a clean, food-safe working environment (food safety training is a plus) Weighing and bagging our heirloom flour into sellable quantities Qualifications Can do attitude with exceptional attention to detail, planning as well as organizational skills, and the ability to keep accurate records Proficiency in Excel, and Google Sheets - essential Salesforce experience or willingness to learn 2-3 years experience in small business operations and customer-facing roles - preferred Must have a valid California driver's license and vehicle Working conditions Hybrid:
