Nurse, Coordinator of Palliative Care

Hospice by the Bay is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to fill the role of a Palliative Care Coordinator. This nurse will be responsible for the oversight of our Palliative Care programs in compliance with organization policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations. The Coordinator will be supervising members of the palliative care team including RNā s, Social Workers and Chaplains.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
  • Oversight of all aspects of the Palliative Care Programs under direction of the Clinical Director.
  • Leading community outreach and program development for Palliative programs.
  • Addressing problems associated with the delivery of clinical services and staff development needs, staffing, makes suggestions for appropriate additions/changes in policies.
  • Oversight of clinical supervision of program personnel in accordance with organization policy, accreditation and regulatory standards.
  • Ensuring clinical records are accurate and complete, in compliance with organization policies and procedures, licensing regulations, certification standards and legal and ethical standards.
  • Identification of need for staff education and assist the Training and Development Manager in the development and implementation of in-service programs.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Nursing from a program accredited by the National League of Nursing. Masterā s degree preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of five years management experience in a health care setting, preferably in hospice or palliative care operations.
    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • Registered Nurse in California with current licensure to practice professional nursing within the state.
  • CHPNA and/or PHN certification preferred.
  • Current California Driverā s License and automobile insurance that meets State of California requirements, if driving a car.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
